March updates

Header siteI was browsing my website and realized how I’ve been neglecting it. My last post was in January! Time really flies but in my defense I’ve been busy writing and posting about it on social media. 🙂

As you by now surely know if you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, in the past three months or so I’ve been writing a new romance that ended up being almost 60K words long. That’s right: almost sixty thousand words! That’s a pretty big story and a milestone for me as it represents what “traditional” publishers would call a “proper” novel.

I won’t go into its title as that’s still being decided but I can tell you what’s it about: a man in his forties that after being betrayed by his partner of 15 years is trying to restart his life and fight his insecurities about being too old to do it.

I’m really excited about this and I think it’s my best story yet! I’ve just finished the final edits and rewritings and the manuscript is ready to be sent to my editor. Unfortunately, he’s a lovely guy with a very busy schedule and won’t be able to start working on it until the 23rd. So, you’ll have to wait a bit more.

In the mean time, I’ve begun another story that has been on hold on account of the rewrites and edits I had to do on the story that’s now ready to be sent to my proofreader. It’s already 20K words long but it’s been two weeks since my last writing session on it. I plan to read it from the beginning and give it a feel before resuming my work on this. I honestly don’t know if I still think it’s any good or not and this will tell be if it’s worth pursuing or not.

In the mean time, stay happy and be the change you want to see in the world 😘
